Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to work at Berkeley Lab?

Many of our positions are eligible for visa sponsorship, unless otherwise stated in the job posting. For candidates that accept a Berkeley Lab job and require an employment visa, our International Researchers and Scholars Office (IRSO) will contact you for further information and guidance. In addition, given that Berkeley Lab is a U.S. Department of Energy contractor, some individuals may require additional review in accordance with Foreign Visits and Assignments.

How can I best prepare for an interview?

It is encouraged that you make a copy of the job posting upon applying, so you can refer to the job description, as well as experience and qualifications we are seeking. This will then help you consider the  relevant experience you would like to share in the interview process. Some jobs may also require a presentation or seminar, especially for scientific and leadership positions.
